Bubbly actress Genelia was banned by the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) for not taking the membership in MAA. Recently MAA has sent notices to all the actors in Tollywood who are not taken the membership in MAA. But Genelia failed to take the membership in MAA despite reminding her several times. On Today (November 8, 2011), MAA issued notice to all the producers in Telugu stating that not to take Genelia in their films from now onwards.
As per the MAA rules actor needs to pay Rs One Lakh for life membership in MAA. To get the membership in MAA, the actors should have at least three movie releases in Telugu. But from past eight years Genelia is working in Telugu films and many of her films released in Telugu, but she didn’t take the membership in MAA.
Genelia is presently working in the film Naa Ishtam opposite to Rana, which will hit the screens in next year.
