Mr7 Telugu Movie Review

All that glitters is not gold
and all the sons and grandsons of artistes cannot be artistes by birth. Many artistes' sons have entered the film industry, but very few had a successful career. AVS, MS Narayana and a few others tried their best to make their sons heroes, but could not. Now, the grandson of SV Ranga Rao, who had ruled the roost in the Telugu film industry as a character artiste, comedian and villain, is entering the film through the movie Mr 7 with the same name.
Story: Lakshman (Jr SV Ranga Rao) and Anji (Srinivas Reddy) are small time burglars and experts in lifting cars. After falling in love with Nakshatra (Neelam), Lakshman decides to give up burglary and settle in life. He wants to lift a costly car for the last time. As planned, he steals a Mercedes Benz of another professional thief Naik (Satyam), who is running away with Rs 18 lakhs after big bank robbery. Now the cat and mouse game begins with Police officer Ram (Sravan) chasing Naik, and Naik chasing Lakshman. What happens next will form the crux of the movie.
Performance: Whether he was a novice or facing the camera for the first time, Jr SV Ranga Rao has failed as an actor. He could not emote any type of emotion on his face. He is not at ease either in action or in dance sequences. Neelam is okay but she should be careful in her body language. Other artistes have done justice to their respective characters because they are seasoned artistes.
Technical: Almost all the technicians worked for the film are debutantes and are first or second timers and they too have done a poor job. The story is not that impressive, dialogues have no punch and the screenplay is very loose and fails to keep a particular speed at any time. Prabhakar Reddy's camera work is shoddy. Editing is also average. With these obsolete technicians, the director has failed to build a film at any cost. Moreover, he is a novice and has failed to realise that none of these technicians are really helping him. As a result, the output too proved a messed up dish. But except for a few comedy scenes, that too because of the seasoned artistes, there is nothing in the film.
Remarks: Better stay away from the theatre and don't waste your money.
