The leading female role for the movie ‘Viswaroopam’ is finally finalized after so much of filtering. It was said that many actresses like Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan and Sameera Reddy along with Pooja Kumar were considered earlier for the movie and finally Pooja Kumar has bagged this amazing chance to act with Kamal Haasan.
Pooja Kumar is believed to be a theatre artist having won Miss India USA pageant in her career and is basically from New York. Besides this, she has also starred in a Broadway play called Barriers.
When asked about how she feels being finalized to act with Kamal Hasan, she said ‘Though I grew up in New York, I used to come back to India every summer vacation and I have great fondness for India. Just as you can never say no to act with Tom Cruise, you react similarly way when offered to act with Kamal Haasan. Directors have their own way of choosing actors. Personally, I have never asked director the reason for short listing me’. Pooja feels its her good deeds she has done in her previous janma for getting this opportunity to work with Kamal Haasan in this janma.
Tamil playback singer,voice actor and a film and theatre actress, Andrea Jeremiah is also playing an important role in this movie. ‘Viswaroopam’ will be taken in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
