Akkineni gets Doctorate again!


Legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao is going to be conferred with a Doctorate by GITAM University, Visakhapatnam yet one more award again.
Nageswara Rao started his career in the year 1941 with the movie ’Dharmapatni’. He has left an unbelievable foot mark in the Film industry so far playing all kinds of roles since past 6 decades. He is believed to be the one of the senior most actors in cine world alive in India apart from Dev
In the year 1957, governor of Uttar Pradesh Gopal Reddy has conferred him ‘Nata Samrat’ award in Vijayawada. This was his first award he received and after that he continued to impress cinema world and is receiving awards till now. Success is always there for him. He was awarded ‘Padma Shri’ in the year 1963, ‘Padmabhushan’ in the year 1982, ‘Dada Saheb Phalke’ in year 1991, ‘Anna’ award by TN government in the 1995 and ‘Padmavibhushan’ the year 2011 by Government of India. He even conferred a doctorate in the year 1977 by Andhra University which titled him ’Kala Prapoorna’.
Earlier this year in the month of March, he was given doctorate by prestigious Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha at Chennai for his contributions to South Indian cinema.
